About the Longest Border quiz
The neighbour with the most border
For each country, pick the neighbour it shares its longest land border with, from four options. After you answer, every one of its borders is ranked by length on a map, with your pick marked if it was wrong. The quiz covers the 119 countries with at least two land neighbours: 37 at Easy, 36 at Medium and 46 at Hard, and each level asks every country once, ten a round.
Answers that surprise
Brazil’s longest border is with Bolivia, not Argentina, and Argentina’s is with Chile. India’s longest is with Bangladesh, which it almost surrounds, not China or Pakistan. Russia’s is with Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan’s is with Russia, the longest continuous land border in the world. China’s is with Mongolia; Germany’s with Austria; Italy’s with Switzerland; Turkey’s with Syria; Saudi Arabia’s with Yemen; Egypt’s with Sudan; Nigeria’s with Cameroon. Some pairs point at each other, Spain and Portugal, Norway and Sweden, Iran and Iraq, while others do not: Mexico’s longest border is with the United States, but the United States’ is with Canada.
