About Guess the Neighbours

Name every country on the border

A country is named and you type its land neighbours one at a time, picking each from the dropdown. Every neighbour you find is a point. Three wrong guesses end the round and reveal the ones you missed, and a hint map shows the region if you are lost. Ten countries make a game.

Levels by how many neighbours there are

The level is the number of borders to remember, not how famous the country is. Easy asks about the 83 countries with two to four neighbours, such as Mexico, Sweden, Norway and Albania. Medium has the 63 with four to six. Hard is the 34 countries with six or more, which is where the long lists live: China and Russia share a border with 14 countries each, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Germany and Brazil with nine, and Tanzania, Zambia and Turkey with eight. Island nations never come up, since they have nobody to name.
